I saw this image somewhere. This guy has a type of circus act with hyenas. They live with his family and his young children play with them. Hyenas are big.

Recent illustrations

HI I haven't been on this blog for a while. Which means Ive been too busy with work to post anything. And that s a good thing. So here we go with an update of work Ive completed lately. These people illustrations are to represent various consumer markets and to be used in relevent marketing material. Each segment was to be in a different style.

Day 6 - badboy

I think Im a day behind in doing a post each day - its harder than I thought. I keep leaving it till later. Im finding it good to do because Im doing some sort of drawing everyday.

A quick study in mono from the head shot of a model. Its not as finished as I would like but the likeness is there. I was home alone with my eldest boy over the weekend - we watched 'boy' dvds and had takeaway. I didn't get any work done tho.

Day 2 - troupe

DAy 2 of a 'Blog a Day' for 10 days. Here is a rough of a troupe of performers I saw at a local Australia Day celebration. I want to do a colour version of it during this series and this rough is the start.

Day 1

After yesterday's post I had a client ask when I would be posting something - eek. i didn't think anyone was reading my blog. So here is my first one. I was thinking about a skull tattoo and it turned into this - Monkey boy I started in Illustrator - but thought I had better do a colour version [in Painter] to make it a little more exciting.

Haven't posted for a while

I just saw a blog by a guy in UK - Gary Ball - and he was posting an illustration/painting/doodle every day to get his skills up. So Im going to give it a go and post something every day for 10 days as a trial. Stay tuned

Recruitment Extra Cover

Hello This is my first blog so I thought I would start with the most recent work because I couldn't decide on what older material to place here. This cover is for a recruitment managers regular journal that I illustrate the covers for. This one was to highlight the role of recruitment agencies that recruit for the recruitment industry. These images show the development process thru to the final illustration. Original rough concepts, expanded concepts then the final colour illustration The final illustration was done in Adobe Illustrator utilising ink drawings [done by hand] converted to outlines.
